The Way of Lights!!

David and I have had a tradition of going to the Way of Lights for a very long time.

We adore driving through the beautiful winter wonderland reading the Christmas story, singing carols, and just getting lost in the beauty of so many trees covered in lights.

We have been anxiously waiting for the perfect time to take Aaden.

Tonight was IT!

He was happy, excited, and singing with us!

"GLE GLE GLE" while flinging his arms, and it was insanely awesome.

He kept pointing and ooohing and ahhhing, and it was one of those moments that makes being a mother totally worth it ALL OVER AGAIN.

Do you know what I mean??

In total disbelief at what he is seeing.

We pulled over and got out for a few minutes.

As one can imagine A did not want to look at the camera only the lights.

I can't help but wonder ... is this our last picture together as a family of 3???

HOLY COW!

Bring it on ... We are beyond ready!

Livi Update!!!!

David and I are soooo very excited to announce that most likely our precious Olivia Grace will enter into the world on Monday December 17th! This is conditional to an amnio test {where they verify her lung capacity etc.} that the doctor believes will come back that she is VERY READY to enter into the world.

We are without a doubt giddy with excitement!!!

After all the crazy ... we simply cannot wait to hold our precious daughter in our arms! How lucky we are to have one amazing little dude and soon enough our sweet Livi.

I think she looks like Aaden.

I love those sweet chubby cheeks!!!!!

So, shopping is 99% done.

All I have left is to wrap, paint, cook, print, ship, clean, and 800 other things.

SIGH!!!!!!

eh, doesn't matter, COME LIVI COME!!!!!!!!!!

Ornament Love

I simply adore pulling my ornaments out every year.

They remind me of so many happy memories ... 

These are a few for Aaden.

St. Nick Visits

Call me a traditionalist ... but I love all the little special things about the Holidays. Making cookies and getting to lick the batter, watching Christmas movies while munching on popcorn as a family, driving through the lights, doing walk through the mangers ... it is all so special.

St. Nick's day is no different for me.
LOVE IT!!!

St. Nick knows Aaden very well!
He left him new CARS slippers, a candy cane full of m&ms, gold coins, 2 wooden cards and a book.

So much fun watching the smiles and fun on my sweet boys face.

A Felt Tree

Aaden is in to everything these days!!!

He is adorable, and that helps, but he is really really in to everything!

I was a little nervous about putting up a tree. LOL I figured he would totally pull the whole thing down and break every ornament on it. ;) 

You know, the usual.

THEN, genius.

While browsing pinterest I saw the coolest idea. Make Aaden a felt tree complete with his own ornaments to pull off and put and play with whenever he wants.

So, not perfect. 

Not the most awesome thing I have ever created ...

but it totally works, and Aaden really loves it.

Thankful Aaden loves it, and it has totally kept him away from the actual Christmas tree.
