Time to Shop!!!

I am already loving our sweet Aaden so much!
Every movement seems more personal, and talking to him now I call him by name. It is amazing how much closer I have felt to him in just the last two days!

Last night I couldn't help the shopping bug!!! Grandma Holschen and I made a trip to Target. :)

I know I don't want to buy too many clothes because well, I have such awesome friends and family I know he will be spoiled with outfits!!!

BUT ...

I just couldn't resist!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a 3 piece set with onesie, pants, and a hoodie!!!!!

it says "Mommy's Peanut" EHHHHH!!!!

I JUST LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and of course I couldn't forget about Daddy ...

Sigh!

I really really really like shopping for my precious Aaden!
No surprise there though right!?!

IT'S A ...

Yesterday was one of the most special, amazing days of our lives!!!
David and I spent the day enjoying each other, enjoying time with family, and enjoying all God has done in our lives in the past 2 1/2 years.

The day started off with my favorite breakfast and some computer time ...

A Mango Smoothie and Cinnamon Crunch Bagel with Hazelnut Cream Cheese
Delicious!!!

I spent the majority of the day trying to keep busy.
I was looking at the clock nonstop anxiously awaiting our 2:30 appointment.

On our way to find out what our sweet Baby is ... pink or blue?
David was convinced blue
&
I was convinced pink!

We have been very impressed throughout the last 5 months with how quick our doctors appointments go! We never have to wait long in the waiting room, and we are usually in and out in a blink.

Of course yesterday was different! We had to wait a whole 15 minutes {yes I realize this is minimal} past our appointment time. It felt like we were never going to get back into the ultra sound machine. :)

Watching our sweet little one on the screen was amazing. Baby was wiggling and moving and on occasion I could feel the movement in conjunction with watching the movement on the screen. Truly unbelievable!!!!

We saw the spine, nose, lips, heart beat, liver, stomach, kidneys, it was truly truly unbelievable! Our sweet little one is growing healthy, and has all the parts the ultrasound tech was looking for.

Baby W is officially Aaden James Watson!!!!

That's right, Baby W IS A BOY!!!!! and his name is Aaden. Daddy was right, and he is already planning his future career as the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers!!!! :)

Not only is baby a boy, but, he is also A BIG BOY. He is currently in the 90th percentile, and there is some concern because I am small, but we are putting it in Gods hands. We have a second-opinion appointment in 2 months just to double-check his weight and then decide what happens from there.

On the way home we had to celebrate!!!! I wanted a frozen coke {shhh!} but apparently Phillips66 is Missouri don't have them!?!?

So a Coke Zero and Gus' Pretzels helped us RING IN the occasion!
A BOY ... holy cow, A BOY!!!!!!

Then on the way home David and I talked all about plans and excitements, and a little bit about how I had some getting use to the idea. I'm happy for a boy, but I don't know much about boys, and well they make me nervous!!! ;) I'll learn though ... hehe.

So for telling our family we had a few fun surprises!

Hubs and I were making dinner ...

steaks with sauteed onions and mushrooms

baked olive oil asparagus

yummy salted baked potatoes

Silly me, I forgot to get actual photos while we were eating. I was too nervous and excited!!!

To tell them the news we had cupcakes made

6 with blue filling
and
6 with pink filling

showing off the 2 boxes with the goodies :)

after dinner we let Grandma and Grandpa Holschen and Grandma Watson {Grandpa Watson was on the phone listening because he is currently away on business} open up the cupcakes for the results. OH WHAT FUN!!!!!

on the outside there was NO HINTS but ...

on the inside ... BLUE FILLING!!!

What a journey the last few months have been! I cannot wait to see what else is in store!!!

Aaden, Mommy and Daddy love you oh so much aready!!!!

Now, lets all hope and pray for an easy and fast summer so we can snuggle him sooner rather then later!!!

A Very Busy Weekend -- Saturday & Sunday

Saturday was a really really fun day!!!!

After all the shopping Friday, I was ready to make some purchases today!!!

Hubs and I started the day off with a yummy donut breakfast. I forgot to take a picture {which is sort of a theme in this post, LOL} but they totally hit the spot. My donut was a chocolate donut with blue stripes. Mmmm good!

We then met up with Grandpa and Grandma Holschen and took a trip to Lowes and Wal-Mart for painting supplies for the new house. We needed a 5 gallon bucket of white ceiling paint, rollers, and the paint containers to start the painting process.

Then, we went to Weekends Only. I showed Hubs the rug in person, and he really liked it too. DOUBLE SOLD!!!! So, we bought the rug for our living room, and new bedroom furniture, and a new mattress. 4 whole pieces of brand new just ours bedroom furniture. SWEET!!!

The furniture is AWESOME!!!! We are picking it up {with the help from my cousin and his truck ... THANKS ANDREW!!!!!} on Friday!!!! :) I will be away at at scrapbooking convention, so I will make Hubs take pictures! LOL

We are painting the master bedroom this week then.

Here is a sneak peak of the color:

Wisteria Blue :)

It will look great with our new furniture and our current bedroom outfit. I can't wait to put it all together! Hard to believe in a few weeks we will be moving into our first house!!!!!!!

God is so good. I am beyond thankful for wonderful family who have helped us so much along this journey.

We ended Saturday with late night appetizers at 54th Street with Maryl & Ryan, and Grandpa and Grandma Holschen. We ate good food, drank a few non-alcoholic daquiris, and laughed until my belly hurt. WHAT A BLESSING!!!!!!!

Sunday

Will be 20 weeks tomorrow so we took a new picture this morning before church. The dress was a thrift store find, and I LOVE IT! Who can beat a $6.00 maternity dress???

Can hardly believe the change in just 3 weeks.

How far along? 20 weeks

Cravings: Nothing new. Same things, frozen cokes mostly. ;)
Biggest Moment: lots and lots and lots of movement at the hockey game
Movements: LOTS. still feels like twitching or wiggling. Baby W must sense I'm talking about her because she is moving around as I type this
What I'm looking forward to: FINDING OUT THE GENDER ON TUESDAY!!!!!!!!

A Very Busy Weekend -- Friday

I have had the most wonderful few days. :)

Friday

Friday was a day full of good food, a good friend, and SHOPPING!!!!! Seriously, some of my very favorite things!!

Baby W and I started the day off with a lovely breakfast at Bread Co with my girl pal Maryl.

I enjoyed a chocolate chip muffie (just the muffin top) and a wild berry smoothie.

Seriously, YUM. I wish everyday could start with that kind of a divine breakfast. :) Then, we were two shopping buddies on a mission!!!! We were looking for the best looking, and most economical curtains or rugs for the new house!

We went to lots of locations ... World Market, Ashley Furniture, Old Time Pottery, and Weekends Only.  World Market was our first stop, and I saw these curtains, and I was SERIOUSLY in love.

I thought they were fun, funky, fresh and totally perfect for our space.

I envisioned them with the gold walls and dark brown highlights. Then, with more shopping, I changed my mind. LOL

At Weekends Only we found the MOST AMAZING rug. I mean for real, it is totally a perfect compromise of David and I's very different styles. It is soft, perfect for Baby to crawl around on eventually, unique, with really fun colors, and it didn't take me long to envision it in our space.

SOLD!!!!!!!!

We ended our A+ day of shopping with a lunch stop at Imos Pizza. YUMMO. I love their salads, but for real, Baby loves them even more!!!! :)

Friday night we were blessed to go to the Blues Hockey Game.

Blues and Flames Warming Up

David getting excited for the game to begin

Anxiously awaiting my hotdog ;)

Yum, seriously yum. Nothing better then a good stadium hotdog ... although Busch Stadiums are better. LOL

The best part of the game was Baby W moving. Seriously the baby either loved or hated all the noise. Every time it would get loud I could feel her movin' and groovin'. I was beginning to think Baby was trying to kick or wiggle or twitch her way out of my belly!! It was awesome!!!

The game rocked, even thought the Blues lost. :(

a Sweet Surprise

My baby sister is currently serving the United States Navy and is stationed in Hawaii. My family misses her terribly, and there isn't a day that goes by when she isn't in our thoughts and prayers. We were blessed to have her home for Christmas last year, and thats when this photo was taken. :)

I wish she was closer while Baby W was cooking. She is near and dear to my heart and having so far away is hard ... for us both.

Today, while getting ready to step out of the door I got a phone call asking if I would be home for a half hour for a delivery. Scratching my head I agreed to be home, and went about wondering what the delivery was, who was it from, and why was it for me.

Imagine my surprise when I opened the front door to find a very nice man holding these :

even the pretty vase is pink!!!!

I LOVE the polka dotted bow. Perfect for a scrapbook page ;)

AND

this yummy box of assorted chocolates. YUM!!!!!!!

I couldn't wait to read the note ...

BRING ON THE TEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't stop crying.

Oh sweet baby, your Aunt Jessica is the BEST! I can't wait for you to get to meet her, probably closer to your birthday. Then, we can all celebrate that she is home again for another visit.

I love you Jesser.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!

19 weeks

The last week has been full of fun and adventure!

I am officially officially feeling the sweet little twitches of baby W. They are amazing and strange and more amazing all in one motion. I can't wait for David to be able to experience it.

I bought my first maternity clothes. :) A pair of jeans {that if I do say so, ROCK, and I may wear them once I'm not pregnant ;)} and two cute t-shirts. Knowing I'm going to have to get through St. Louis summers I am still hopeful to get a few dresses.

When I bought the clothes I was with my sweet friend Maryl. We had a lunch & shopping date, and oh my was it just what the doctor ordered. We went to Olga's in the mall and then to Motherhood Maternity. At Motherhood, they had a 3 month pillow in the dressing room. It is to make sure the sizes you buy will last throughout your whole pregnancy.

Oh man, IT WAS FUN!

This is Motherhoods prediction of my belly at 8 months. HOLY COW!

WOW! I'm not sure I'm ready for all that! LOL

This was the real belly at 18 1/2 weeks. Belly is growing, growing, and growing!!!

I haven't bought this dress yet, but I'm going back for it.
It was like wearing a t-shirt! :)

This last weekend Hubs, myself, Grandma Holschen and Grandpa Holschen went to the Moms and Me Resale at a local school. While I was hoping for a few more BIG ites, we did have some good luck at the sale.

I bought a pair of maternity shorts, and a maternity shirt.
onesies
bibs
a wood puzzle (for $1.00!!!!)
a carseat neck rest thingy
nursing pads
and I think there were even a few other things all for less then $20.00.
SCORE!!!!!!!

:) I love a good bargain!

And the biggest thing coming up ... FINDING OUT IF WE ARE HAVING A BOY OR A GIRL!!!!!
I still feel very strongly it is a girl, but we shall see. Truth is, I am SOOO excited to know!

EXACTLY 1 MORE WEEK OF WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!

{and then let the shopping begin ;)}
