WHAT A DAY!

Today has been ONE OF THOSE DAYS!!!!!!

I left Aaden in his highchair for 2 minutes by himself and when I returned from my much needed potty break, he had dumped his entire lunch onto his head.

Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Cranberries, Peas, and Turkey ... ALL OVER HIM!!!!
Oh Vey!

Giving a toddler a bath on any average day is a challenge. They wiggle and move and want every toy that isn't within their reach RIGHT NOW ... but add in a basketball right at leaning over the tub level, and man oh man, talk about a work-out!!!

To add some entertainment into the craziness I let sweetie boy play in the bubbles.
He had a blast, and for a small window I was happy again ...

AND THEN!

POOP!

Yep, no kidding ... he pooped.
All over his clean self.

IS IT 3:30 YET???????????????????????

David's 30!!!!!!!!!

This post is a few days late, but I think I'm still recouping from the crazy weekend behind me. ;)
My sweet hubs turned 30 on Sunday!!

He is an amazing Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend  to many, and it was important to me to let him know just how much he is appreciated and special to me!

We started the fun with a dinner Friday night for David's parents and brother. :)
I made a few of David's favorite things ...

a) Aussie Chicken -- the most amazing gut-busting recipe ever!!
b) Lambert's Copycat Rolls Recipe -- didn't turn out like Lambert's ... but they were still good.
c) Roasted Brussels Sprouts -- amazing! so so so good!!!! Hubs hates brussels sprouts, but loves these!

Dinner was good, and the company was great!

Dessert was Hubs favorite, yellow cake with chocolate frosting.
Aaden put the sprinkles on. ;)

Happy Birthday Sweet Hubs!!!!!!

****

Then Saturday I planned a surprise party for Hubs. Our sweet friends the Becker's were lifesavers. Jeremy occupied David for several hours, and Carol came over and helped me clean, and cook. Without her I think I would of ended up in a ball on the floor crying! FOR REAL!!!!

The Theme was Beer Tasting and Poker.

;)

It turned out. my Uncle Bruce provided the beer and I made lots of yummy bar style food

- beer cheddar soup
- bratwurst bites
- nacho bar
- tabasco popcorn
- mixed nuts
- chex mix
- cheddar cheese spread
- buffalo chicken dip

and knowing me, there is probably a few things I'm forgetting.

The party was a SURPRISE, and I succeeded in surprising him ... YAY!

Dear Hubs!

You are my very best friend! I can hardly believe we have been together ten years, married 4, and have an amazing son and sweet little girl on the way. You make everyday worth enjoying. I am a happier person with you in my life.

30 is just a number. To me you will ALWAYS be the hot lifeguard at the Belleville Pool. ;) I can't wait for many more birthdays and memories.

I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Happy Feet

Aaden absolutely LOVED having Livi's room completely empty.
He took full advantage of the extra space and wanted to play in there ALL THE TIME.

One of the adorable things he started was the Happy Feet Dance, where he basically moved his feet in a running position, and laughed at the echoing noises the room made. It was especially adorable when he would get the rest of us doing it with him.

Priceless.
Adorable.

I sure do love that little man.

I have an adorable video I can't wait to post ... but I can't post it yet because it would reveal too much of sweet Olivia's room. ;)

BUT ...

because I'm awesome I did get a few photos for you.  ;)

Pure excitement!

And to prove that Livi's furniture did get together ... just a quick photo.

:)

On a much much much more somber note.

Yesterday at some point and time during the day while my parents were over at my house helping put Livi's furniture together, their house was broken in to.

The thieves did some damage, and got away with a few things including their car. They have been told the car is found but have yet to learn the damage. Please say a special prayer for peace of mind and that God's Will would be done it the whole process.

However in the storm there is MUCH to be thankful for ...

1. My parents weren't home & no one was hurt
2. They could of taken a WHOLE lot more then what they did

3. God is still God!!!!

I promise, it is dark purple, not black ;)

A Month of Thanks -- Day 3 & 4

Day 3:

Our sweet yorkie puppy was seriously our first baby. He traveled with us everywhere, was basically treated like a kid, and was truly spoiled.

Then came {dun dun dun!!!} Aaden.

We weren't sure how he would adjust to being the most important baby only when the true baby was asleep, but he has far exceeded our expectations. He and Aaden are best buddies. They play hide n seek, chase after each other, and for the most part get along great.

I am so thankful for my bed buddy, secret keeper, and smile enduser!!!

Day 4:

A Month of Thanks! -- Day 2

Yes, Coke.
My complete and total addiction.

It is strong, and smooth, and oh so delicious. Without it I would be the worlds worst pregnant woman. LOL Caffeine does this Mamas heart good ... word! ;)

Speaking of my pregnancy ...

Hubs and I had our 31 week ultras sound today! Olivia is growing perfectly. We got to see her blood circulation, brain waves, bones, heart beat, hands and feet ... and of course the perfect face! She is beyond the most beautiful little girl we have ever seen, and we cannot wait to meet her!!!!! Like her brother, she is weighing big at 4lbs 11oz. already. This is double what the average baby weighs at 31 weeks. :)

In 5 weeks we will meet with a prenatal specialist just to verify everything is still going great and we will see from there.

ALL I KNOW ... We cannot wait to meet our precious baby girl!!!

A month of thanks!!!

With the year winding down so fast, I think it's a nice gesture to celebrate the little things... and the big things, and the silly things... you get the point.

So ...

I'm sure other moms out there can relate, right? Somedays I barely find time to eat let alone shower and brush my teeth. My hair is often an after though while running around picking up toys, wiping dirty behinds, and playing with my sweet little. I'm often in the bathroom 10 minutes before my husband gets home adding water to my hair, and putting in a headband to try and look presentable. ;)

So, when everything aligns perfectly, and I'm able to not only get a shower {woot!} but a morning shower {gasp!} and then my hair turns out, well kinda cute ... I think it deserves a blog post.

;)

and to celebrate, I'm going to get out of my comfy sweat clothes, and wait for Hubs to get home from work!

BEING A MOM IS THE COOLEST JOB IN THE WORLD ... for real.
