Mini-Shower!

Many of your know my best friend is pregnant, and due exactly 4 weeks before me.

Well, because she is AWESOME {!!!!} and knowing she wouldn't be able to make my BIG shower the end of June, she threw me the most wonderfully thoughtful, perfect, mini-shower I could of EVER dreamed of.

It was full of personal touches like a clothes line, elephant cupcakes {she designed herself}, and amazing gifties that only she would even know I wanted. Talk about making a girl feel special!!!!!

Here are just a few of the photos!

Suzy Q thank you for being my very best friend! Thank you for loving my family and our baby Aaden. The shower you threw was beyond words awesome. I enjoyed everyones company, and felt so incredibly spoiled!!! God blessed me with your friendship in college, and I am ever so thankful we can support each other when our own babies are that age.

Your frienship is a treasure & I pray blessings on you, Justin, and sweetie girl Kaiya. I love you!

Registering!!!!

I love love love new things. {who doesn't right!?!?!}
That is why being able to register for whatever you want is so much fun!!!!

LOL

I wanted to get registered shortly after we found out Aaden was a boy, but well, with getting the house ready it just didn't happen. After a day of moving, we FINALLY went to Babies R Us and got ourselves registered!!!!

It is amazing all the things babies need! Things well, I didn't think about. I mean clips & sprays & bibs & pacifiers & a whole lot more!!!!

Being new to this whole "we are having a kid" thing we needed EVERYTHING! {oh bummer ... wink wink}

Hubs loved OF COURSE picking out toys for sweetie boy.

He was such a WINNER!
He carried my purse around the store for me.
This picture makes me smile, & I was so thankful for him!

Wearing Grandma Holschen's sweater ... I WAS COLD!
But, I'm about 26 weeks in this photo.

Grandpa Holschen found a comfy glider ... and it didn't take him long to SNOOZE.

Our sweet baby is so richly blessed already. He has family and friend that just love on him!!! Isn't that all every baby needs? LOVE! Sigh, it may sound silly, but it brings a tear to my eye.

ON A SIDE NOTE!!!

Babies R Us has an extremely "touchy" website. In order to access our registry information you MUST type the following information in exactly as shown.

Thank you to everyone who has shown David, myself, and our sweet little man <3. You are so appreciated!!!!!!!!

Moving :)

Well, we have been living in our house for two weeks. {WENT SO FAST!!!} Our first night of sleeping over was May 22. Mostly it has been an extremely smooth transition!!!

Moving was ... AN ADVENTURE! LOL
I tried to be as organized as possible, but truth be told, there was "stuff" everywhere ... in every room, and somehow we managed to pack our house quickly with box after box.

I tried to be a good little pregnant wifey and get lots of pictures during this whole process, but somehow in the week we spent packing and moving I got ZERO photos of any vehicles, or people actually moving anything. DUH!!! Where is my brain ... ?

BUT ...

I did get a few of our master and living room BEFORE all the boxes took over.

We adore our new bed and dressers.
It fits perfectly in the room, and the mattress is super comfy!
SCORE!!!

and then then is my rug!
oh how I love this thing!!!!!!!

:)

A whole lot of people pitched in to make our move happen!
Grandma and Grandpa Watson helped one night.
Maryl & Ryan {our sweet sweet sweet friends} helped an entire Saturday, and provided tons of boxes, and moral support! There were a few instances where I was going CRAZY!!

tired from moving I'm sure, but such TROOPERS!!!!!!!!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Holschen put too many hours in to count!!!!! Thank you truly isn't adequate enough for any of them!!!

Here is the office ... PACKED! ;)

and well, I would be lying if I didn't say there was WAY more then this in the room before we were all done!

The walls are hard to see, but I adore the green color it is painted!!! :)
It makes me HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far ... we adore living in a house. It is more personal. More ... our own. We cannot wait to welcome our sweet Aaden into the mix. :)

Speaking of which ...

Baby A is growing well, and doing well!
His nursery is in transition as we prepare for a yardsale, and wait on his furniture to arrive. {THIS WEEK OR NEXT ... WHOO HOO}

BUT ... for the time being, here is a sneak peak. ;)

We painted the walls Cappacino, and added stripes.
Grandpa Holschen measured out the straight lines, and they are awesome!!!
Grandma H, Mommy & Daddy painted them in.

The results ... well, you will just have to wait on those!!

;)

Best Friends

It is WONDERFUL having a pregnant buddy.
It is even more special when it is my best friend in the whole world.

It is special having someone to talk to about everything from stretch marks {or the non-existance of them}, pediatricians, birth plans, etc etc etc.

Suzy my very best girlfriend and I planned two whole days of no husbands full of shopping, eating, talking, sewing, and well, more eating. ;)

We shopped, and oh did we! {Suzy's was a wonderful maternity shirt!}

<3 this photo AND Suzy's new shirt!!!!! :)

We ate, and oh boy did we!

yummy taco dip ... yep, we finished it all!!! ;)

Fruity Land design your own yogurt.
AMAZING!!!!

I would be lying if I didn't say there was also soda, pizza, and a ton of oreo cookies involved ...

We sewed ... and man oh man do we have skills!!!! hehehee

= Kaiya {purple}

Life is so precious.
I pray to the great Lord above Kaiya and Aaden can be as good of friends as Suz and I are. May the Lord bless them as they grow and allow them to accept the Lord as their personal Savior as soon as they understand.

Amen!

Michigan Family

I can't believe I let a week go by without doing this post!!!

It is Grandma Holschen's fault ... she is hoarding on the pictures. LOL

Last weekend my Great Aunt and Uncle from Michigan came down for a weekend visit. It was unexpected {as they have not been able to come down for some time} and yet it was the best news ever!!! We didn't do a lot of "things" ... just mostly spent a lot of time talking! My Grandma Benson {who some of you may know} has Alzheimer's. We were a little worried if she would recognize them, but she really seemed to.

My Grandma seemed to be in her happy place all weekend, and that makes me thrilled!!!! :)

Uncle Milton is my Grandpa Benson's Brother. He has a special sweetness about him, and it makes me wonder if my Grandpa {who I never got the privilege to meet} was as kind, caring, and loving as he is.

When I was a little girl we spent a lot of time in Michigan. :) At least one week every single summer. I have fond memories of playing on their farm! Riding four-wheelers, milking cattle, bailing hail, taking my first driving lesson, riding the tractor, canoeing, float trips ... this is only the beginning.

I hope and pray that Aaden will be able to spend some time up north as well! I know he would absolutely love the people, and all the memories!

Thanks for coming to visit! Can't wait until the next time!!!! :)
Also, thanks so much for the bouncy seat, cute outfits and books. We can't wait to use the items and smile thinking of you!!!

{more photos to post as soon as Grandma Holschen gets on the ball ... lol}
